if the tires have cracks in the tread area at all there weatherd ,an not good ,you can also look up the age of the tires an anything older the 6 years ,even if they look good ,that differs from state to state though

I hunted down the $600 Z-28 here on Craigslist. What a rat! Hood dented, front bumper broken, right rear quarter panel wrinkled, side pipes, big tires in back (want to guess what kind of life it led?), interior trashed, clear coat peeling. Don't think I'd of given him $100 for it. It made Kate look like a bargain.

Did nothing to Kate today. Still trying to decide whether or not to drain and flush the radiator, or have it done.

If you decide to flush Kate yourself,
if you do the radiator, do the engine.
If you flush, might as well change all hoses - should be replaced every four years - Rule Of Thumb for a daily driver.
Change hoses, might a s well do the belt.

When you drain coolant, do not allow dogs/cats to drink it - it is poison to them.
Some city municipalities will have a public recycle/HAZMAT drop-off

What's a knock sensor and what does it look like? Standard petcock?

I'm leaning toward having it done. Couple of reasons: I'm old and don't move good no more. No problem getting to the ground, problem getting up. Also don't have to deal with the mess of disposal.

if it looks bad have the radiator taken out and flushed. standard flush will push the gunk into the heater core and plug it. if its pretty dirty, best to flush the three separate, radiator, engine, heater core. that way your not pushing crud throught it all and messing the core and radiator to the point of replacement and plugging passages in the engine.

Moved Kate to the wash rack (front yard), got her all soapy and sudsy, caressed her curves with a gentle touch, carefully massaged her with fluffy bath towels, microfiber cloth, windex and paper towels. Then the wind came up and blew dust over everything. Then it rained just enough to form dirt puddles on her once sparkling skin. I'm bummed.

aahh got to watch the weather ,then after you wash it you have to wax it or give low speed buff for ultimate shine ,you love that car ,you going to marry it ,just kidding ,there was a show on tv some guys love there cars that much though,i love mine ,all you can do when that happens is come back the next day ,you know whats nice about keeping wax on your car is when it does rain then all you should need to do it wipe it down ,though I need to stay on it ,living there I would wax it about every 2 weeks ,or once a month,my cars are hardly ever dirty that way ,the water wipes right off nice after a short ride then wipe it down ,I carry 2 or clothes with me at all times, only time I cant avoid a dirty car is after it snows ,but my Camaros stay spotless pretty much ,I found all the towels I cut up an bought over time that don't get crease on them I now wash then an reuse most of them so I got few trash bags full of towels
