Default Kate, 1994 Base Consolidation

Because I have so many questions and also because I'm old and tend to forget what I have asked and where I'm asking, I've decided to start this thread as a clearing house for all of them.

For those of you who are interested, I found "Kate" in a garage where she had been kept for 7 years. She has/had many issues, some of which have been corrected. She now runs and drives and obviously will be an ongoing project. Many questions.

Thanks in advance for all your help!

Yesterday I dug into the radio and uninstalled the wiring that had gone to the CD changer in the back. What a mess! PO had simply plugged the power wires into the fuse block on the left side of the dash and just left the wires hanging. This motivated me to dig into the radio and find out why it loses it's mind every time I turned the ignition off. Another snarl. First, the fuse holder was broken and held together with duct tape that had dried out. Then I discovered that the left door speaker had been wired into the left rear outputs for the stereo. I still don't know if the rear speaker works. I doubt it. In short, it looked like a self install. I threw up my hands and decided to get a new stereo installed correctly. Old one didn't have either aux jack or USB port. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for all the comments. I'll put up some "as found" photos soon. Might even include some work in process photos of the ground effects removal project.

Gassed Kate up today. Got a little over 19mpg. Gauge showed between 1/4 and 1/2 full and took 11 gallons. Gauge must be fairly accurate. Good to know.
