Default Inside a cat converter.

So I busted up an old cat to see inside. Pretty cool honey comb chunks. There was a fiberous material like a mouse nest in it. The ends were plugged so I don't think that's what it is.
anyone know what it is?

Yeah you should have left it be. Converters contain platinum among other rare metals. They're worth $200+ depending on what they come out of.
