Default Ignition Coil

im a little stumped.....i pulled out all the sensors and the main connection boot from the coil. When going to install the new coil (exactly the same as the one i pulled off) i realize that the boot coming out of the opti has the wrong end in the igntion coil wire ( like the opposite end of a spark plug wire). I was stumped how the igntion coil was attached on that end with the original coil when the car was running, since the coil plug is so much bigger than the wire connection. below are some pictures of what i am talking about to make it clearer.....but would it work if i cut off the current boot and take an old spark plug boot andcrimp it onto the exsisting wire running from my opti then attaching it to the ignition coil???

(in the pics i rolled back part of the boot to get a better look at the attachment)

It wasnt attached. The spark was jumping a gap in there. Go get a new coil wire for it.

well im going to try removing that end first and crimping on an old spark plug wire boot connection and see if that works first. cause that would save alot of time from me removing the water pump to get to that coil wire.

You dont have to remove the water pump to change the coil wire. I know it looks tight but you can get your right handthumb and pointer finger on the boot and pull it out and push the new one in. Dont be skeeereed of itmake that coil wire your Biatch!!!
