I believe this is dang near impossible.
So the story goes... I had a some problems with my '95 z28 A4 a few months back. Got in an accident, bent the rear axle, bent the rear right rim, and also cracked the rear right brake rotor. AS I'm driving to the shop, I stop at a light, it goes green, and i start accelerating. It shifts to second just fine. As it gets to about 3k rpm, the rpms just shoot up and it wont shift. I tried manually shifting, still didn't want to shift. I finally get to my shop (going about 20mph) and I talk to my mechanic about it. He says "oh it's no big deal, we'll just do a trans flush and it should be fine". Well, it wasn't fine. We did the flush, but it didn't work. So now he says that he needs to rebuild it. I say, alright let's get it done. He orders the parts. They don't come in for almost two months (keep in mind that i live in Guam), I understand that it takes time for these things, especially living on a small island. Well, finally the parts come in. He then says that he's "swamped". Long story short, he apparently was swamped for 4months? I put the car in November of last year, it is now April. I finally call the guy and say that I'm taking it to another shop. The other shop, now, doesn't want to work on it. No one on island wants to rebuild it. So I'm left with the only option to buy a new transmission. Living on a small island in the Pacific, it's really hard to find a reliable source off-island. Does anyone know where I can buy a 4L60E online?

a 700r4 will work too. It will bolt right up. Same spline same bellhousing. cheaper too. the only problem is that you will not be able to progam shift points. a 4l60e can be found at http://racetransmissions.com/store/i...e44338a ..good price i dont think there is a core either. So u can hang onto what u got and later rebuild that one for a backup or sell it to me to recoup some of your cash.:-D
