I don't have a 2nd gear start button on either my SS or RS...

Well, the 5th Gen has got to be the best, with its enhanced StabiliTrak, etc. I don't think you had a 5th Gen yet, right Gorn? ;-)

An open diff will spin both tires, if torque & traction is split equally between the two. The same diff will react differently with a v8, since it can break the tires free easier.

no it does ive left plenty of twin marks on the dry rd reving it up and dumping the clutch will only give me one mark but the brake stand is most deff both tires so ha lol

when you put the brakes on it equalizes the rearend so both will try to spin. it unusual for it to continue to turn both wheels after the initial braking. i have used the parking brake to get me out of the sand with a open rearend. the harder you push on the brakes the more it will try to turn both wheels, after a certain point the brakes will take away any advantage gained. always stoped the wheels if i pushed to hard on the brakes.
