how much do you think my camaro is worth?
I need to get a new car because I'm having too man problems with my camaro and I want something that get really good gas milage. It has some stuff that needs to be fixed unfortunatly, but I want to know if it's even worth it to fix them. It's making a load annoying engine noise that I've been chasing forever with the help of 2 VERY qualified mechanics (one is ranked #1 GM tech in western united states), and after listening to it and giving me suggestion (pushrods, rocker arm) I havn't been able to find anything.
Also is wont even rev up with the gas pedal ATM (kind of a big problem), I have another thread about that.
But anyway here is the KBB page on my car: http://www.kbb.com/KBB/UsedCars/Pric...QuizConditions
I think that is way too much and I can't see anyone buying for that much. Even if i got the problems taken care of, and fixed the body dmg. How much would you guys think a 1996 Z28 with 190K miles, no problems, loudmouth exhaust, cold air MAF, and all those options go for? I was expecting to see KBB say like 1K with that many miles.

I would say roughly 3k in the condition you're talking about. If you got the mechanical problems fixed maybe 3.5k
The main thing about it is that a collector may want it, but in the contion you're talking about he would probably just put a new engine in and repaint it anyways. Bottom line? 2-3k only.

A 12-year old car like yours, with body damage, 190+k miles, and who knows what wrong
with the engine, I wouldn't pay more that $1,000 for it, but that's me. A potential buyer has
to considerthat it might need a new engine. And after that investment in money and time,
you could buy one that doesn't have any problems for less money, and with less aggravation.
Selling a fixer-upper really shrinks your buyer pool, and also deflates the value greatly!

Oh shizz, I missed that. At least I'm not the one who revived it! Sure got sucked into that one. [8D]
Hey Combat_Chuck, if the car is still for sale, I'll give you $500 for it.
