A stock LT1 does not put down better torque then a stock LS1.

Hey specter, do you remember the name of the forum or have a link to the forum where you guys went over this, because I have a friend who the lt1 has more torque and I'd like some hard evidence to showhim the difference in them

I used my own dyno graph, but any ls1 dyno plot will work. brb..... google time

i cant find anything for a stock car. go to the horsepower thread in general tech, my graph is on the first page i think. only thing i remember is that I was already making like 290rwtq at 2500, then up to 310rwtq at 4500ish. ls1 torque curve is VERY flat, and if u google image search u will see that is true. I didnt pull any from google because its very hard to find a bone stock car. mine had a borla catback and slp lid when I dyno'd but I dont htink thats worth 40rwtq

ohh ok i got ya i misunderstood you .. i wasnt trying to argue with you i was just misinformed about the lt1 vs ls1 thats all man relax thaniks for clearing it up for me

dragtimes is unreliable. too many guys list their cars as stock which are obviously modified.

Is this thread still going? wow, hahaha. So tomorrow morning I'll start calling savlage yards for an LT1/tranny package and we'll go from there... anyone want to buya carb, oil pump, and 383 rotating assembly?
