Default Hood Shocks?--back of my '93 Camaro trunk won't stay up. Is this the part & 2) easy t

Hi, all, I have a trunk that keeps falling down, I usually prop it up w/ something like a baseball bat....oh hey.... don't get into a Road Rage or car jack incident w/ me LoL Jk

I don't want it to 1 day slam into the back of my head as the the plastic rod that usually holds it up, is slipping a lot lately--and it cramp;s my style when I go out with my next future wife

Hood Shocks?--back of my '93 Camaro trunk won't stay up.

1) Is this the part & '
2) easy to install?

thanks so very much for any help

I just replaced the trunk supports on my 96, and it was super easy.

There is a little ring you pull back (see arrow) to release it, then pull it right off, don't forget to support the trunk lid properly first

And Rockauto have them, I would check the length thoroughly before placing the order as they come in different lengths

A tip is to clean up and lubricate the trunk hinges just before installing the new trunk supports, lower friction will help them do their job
