anyone know how to install the trunk mechanism as in the the thing that holds the trunk down or is it self explanitory?

i did, the problem im having is its not closing, but yet its matched up perfectly with the hood. Could there be something wrong with the lock?

 

are you talking about a hood, trunk, latch, or lock? if your talking about the hood and latch, is the saftey latch working?, is the latch closed? try pulling the handle to open to the hood, that will open the latch. is the latch all the way down? it is slotted for adjustment, trying loosin the bolts and pull it up.

 

im talking bout the trunk latch mechanism, the back of the car.

 

so did you replace the latch and now it doesnt work, or it stoped working? is it stuck open or closed? did you try adjusting it up all the way?

 

i fixed it the mechanism was in the lock position and i had to force it to unlock so it can let the trunk close.
