mabey is the ultra z hood slash zl1 hood. with vents couse its exact otherwise an mabey they made a few like said on other thread looks like someone modified an ultra z hood ,or it was a short run hood for track cars
the zl1 hood is the same for 4th gen but the 4 holes are more towards the front, again most may like the look but ,but it did not make it as a popular hood like the ws2 hood or the standard ss hood, this hood just probley did not make in popularity ,is why nothing can be found on it ,they made alot of different hoods for the 4th gen over the years, some you can still get . yet others fade very fast i would say allowing the eliments or rain in on this hood makes it alot less appealing to people, there may be a few dealers still have them but very few,an you may find one site that has them ,but nothing on google pictures was found by me ,so seach every site that sells 4th gen hoods an you may run into a name for the hood ,but i dont seem them either

my understanding is Mecham Chevrolet in Glendale,Arizona put together a hi performance package for the Z28 and named them Z29R, 6,200 above the Z28 cost, this hood was built for there base package, plus they had add-ons, including a extra $16,800 engine, I believe 12 of these cars where built. https://www.mechamperformance.com/m_docs/z29r.html

Its interesting, but I am not sure its going to be valuable. Someone took a new car and modified it and called is a Mecham Z29R. I don't see anywhere that these are factory approved mods like SLP did. There are a lot of these types of cars, some are very popular and other are not well known. The value come from how well known the builder is. An example of a top of the line builder would be Lingenfelfter Performance https://www.lingenfelter.com/
When you compare that sight with this one it is tuff to compare. Looks the TA version of that hood is still available.
Mecham Design, Performance - Home
Back in the day dealerships used to do these types of mods with factory approval and those car are super valuable. You have dealers like Yenko, Nickey and Berger Chevrolet. Those old dealer built cars are wroth 6 figures.
That hood would be a race only hood, Looks like if you got caught with it sitting outside in the rain it would just dump water on your coil packs.
