If you can find a wrecked 3.4 with the 5 speed that's the way to go you'll be able to pull everything needed for the swap and then scrap the rest of the donor car

well you can and you can't. finding a tranny for a reasonable price, yea good luck, but if your willing to spend about 2,500 for one Jet makes replacement auto trans

after driving it for 400 miles there needs to be some suspension repairs the steering seems verry sensitive like struts could be bad took off the front tires and calipers wheel bearings seem fine looks like the struts are old the shocks on the rear look new i have a problem with the car rubbing when i go across some dips in the road i noticed the rubbers on the car at the rear are gone the ones that are above the axles thinking that could be whats letting the car drop so much and drag at the rear anyone have any sugestions thanks

those are bump stops. you can get them at a number of places. if its only rubbing on one side you can center the rear with an adjustable panhard bar. i rolled my fenders. no more rubbing at all. what tires do you have?

ya they are stock wheels what i feel rubbing is the car itself hitting the asphalt but i dont see where. thats why im maybe thinking the chassis is hitting the axles where the stops are gone or shocks and struts bottoming out?? and im thinking what could be causing this could also relate to why the steering is so sinsitive

can we see a picture of the car. is the car lowered? sounds like your lowered so far that something is scraping. and if it is and the front is not then the front would be out of alingment. how do the shocks look?

i put a couple of pictures in my garage if you want to see it. let me know if you were able to see it to.i had the car in the air in the shop and can not see where it is bottoming out at.the car has brand new tires on it and pulls to the right bad when u get on the brakes the front tires are wore on the inside so yes it is out of alignment so i rotated them and now it feels good no pulling so i think i will replace the front wheel bearings and struts and get a alignment done. as far as the rear shocks they look like they have been changed they look new they are yellow
