did they say the covers were illegal altogether or they could only be so dark?

im considering blackout taillights, but Ive never seen another 4th gen, let alone any car around here with them. however, I see them all over the internet.

makes me wonder about the legality.

Mind you, this was 10 or so years ago, but I remember the ticket said illegal equipment installed. I live in Texas, by the way. Legality will vary state to state, city to city. Whether they enforce it or not will vary cop to cop.

I just received a "FIXIT" last week for my Tinted Tail lights.

It was my First one in the Two years I've had it done. Like Stan said, It depends on the State and Officer.

Honestly dude all you need is new head lights and you're good. The only reason I bought an LT1 (besides the sound and the cheapness) was that the headlights look a lot better. The front on the 98+ maros can look real good with some aftermarket stuff but I don't like how they look stock.

Gotta wonder why so many people want to swap out 93-97 front ends with 98-02.

a quick search should answer your questions. I figured out the window tinting laws for WI in like 5 mins, so I feel like you should be able to find something.
