Got my car back from Chevy
Is it possible that you rounded off a lifter?,
A "soft" lifter will cause most of the things you listed without triping a code.
Use a long screwdriver, with the car idling, put the metal tip on the exhaust manifold and the other end to your ear, try to isolate where the sound is coming from.
Check diffrent areas of the engine, you should be able to pin the area down (Top/Bottom/Left/Right/Front/Rear)
(Yardstick works also)

Let us know, sounds to me like maybe in the valve train.
Cam/Lifter Change isnt that bad,,,, on the cheap you could even just change out the problem lifter and associated hardware (Pushrod/Rocker/Valve) Though I would not recommend it.

ok heres the verdict. After listening to it i cant hear a knock.. im assuming a knock would be louder than the tick.. but its a fast paced tick and the engine shakes pretty bad.
