Gas gauge stuck on 3/4

Default Gas gauge stuck on 3/4

on my 95 v6, any suggestions?

I would say it's probably your sending unit. It's tough, it's in the gas tank along with the fuel pump. Good luck.

If it doesn't drop to empty with the battery disconnected, your gauge is bad. The gas gauge requires power on one side of it to move, and the other wire going to the sending unit is a ground. But if the gauge moves like it should and hangs at 3/4, it's the sending unit. If you take the gas gauge wire off the sending unit and touch it to ground, the needle should peg, which means the gauge is good.

thanks, I'll look into it. I think the previous owner jacked alot of the wiring up removing the stereo or something, im having some problems with my courtesy fuse as well.
