Default Fuel Rail Question...

I'll be replacing the gaskets on my manifold here soon. What I'm wondering is if I can just leave the fuel rail attached to the fuel lines. It calls for me to remove the lines off the rail with the special tool but I don't have it and don't want to mess up the lines. I was thinking once unbolting the fuel rail if it would just lift up and I could slide it over to the side of the engine bay. But if I did this I wouldn't be able to replace the rings on the injectors would I? With the lines still attached wouldn't fuel spill out the injector areas once I took them off to replace the rings? Or should I just go ahead and find the tool or figure out how to get the lines off...?

You might could leave it attached but you are seriously looking at only about a $10 tool. Spend the $10 it will make life much easier.

I know it's cheap, but the point is that if I can get the job done without doing that then I will. So I was just wondering if it could be done without causing a hassle.

Found a way without removing the fuel lines, basically just unhook everything that is tying the lines down to the linkage and manifold. Then from there all you do is flip the rail back and lean it against the windshield. But, since I need it all the way off I'll have to go get the tool. 3/8" and 5/16" are the line measurements so I'll grab that and they'll be off within minutes.
