Default fuel pump on the 406 carbed

right now I am running a 105 gph with fuel regulator at about 3 to 5 psi ,they have the canaster type that is a lot like our inline fuel filter under the car, they run from 20gph to 30 an 4 to 9 psi ,it just seems I don't need that powerful of a pump an its loud to ,we are moveing from the left shock tower to the rear wheel well Friday ,couse my research shows they work better closer to the tank an are made to push the fuel not pull it ,I wonder if a fuel reg would be needed still ,an the 105gph is is a $100.00 pump the canaster type are $15.00 could buy 2 an have a back up ,an is auniversal kind though some 80s cars ran then standard like a 1974 appolo 5.7l to an 84 caddy with 4.4l,they talk about the one I have now as being drag car pump, thanks guys

from all i have read you will be better off taking out the old fuel pump and pickup and fabricating a pickup so you can use a standard mechanical pull pump.

I am going to try a global universal pump it looks just like the inline filter but its an electric pump will bolt up easyer 5 to 9 psi we can try it with the regulater ,I just don't think I need a 105 gph ,though I know I needs to be moved ,I found parking the car on an incline the fuel runs back an there gets an air pocket ,so it stalled right in driveway ,couse it in the wrong spot ,they need to be as low as possible an as close to the tank as possible to push not pull the fuel for 17.00 I am going to try it ,then buy a back up one verses $100.00 though the pump I have now can be had on ebay for $40.00 depeding on brand ,no one has come up with the intank pump with low psi to work for me
