Default Sequential taillights

Does anybody know if you can use the universal kit from Web electronics to get sequential lights. I have a 98 and replaced taillights with 96 style. Didn't want the amber signal. If that kit won't work how can I make them sequential?

This might work, one of the reviews says it makes brake lights sequential too so you might not be able to have solid lights with this. Still worth a look though.

Since car had an amber turn signal I was told I need to install a trailer converter before I install any kit. But I saw a video on YouTube where a guy did his and said he spliced some wires under the steering column. Any ideas what wires he is talking about? Seems easier and cheaper than installing 2 different kits.

I'm not sure on the year range but the earlier 4th gens have the tails that don't have the amber turn signal. In my opinion they look better, especially with a sequential setup. The kits I've found also make your brakes sequential whether you want them that way or not.
