Default Front Tow Hook to Crash Bar?

I've searched many forums for a good answer on where to place a tow hook for a 4th gen and have come up empty handed. I need a tow hook for certain road racing events throughout the season.

Is the crash bar strong enough to support the load of being towed? My thought was to drill a hole (just large enough in diameter for the tow hook to pass through) through the foam behind the front bumper and weld or bolt a tow hook to the crash bar behind it. If the hook was painted black then it wouldn't be very noticeable.

Anyone have input on this?

I searched tow points 99 Camaro and came up with this one https://ls1tech.com/forums/chevrolet...tow-hooks.html

I found that one prior to posting but am hoping to avoid drilling any holes in my bumper. It only has 45k miles so if I could merely go through a small portion of foam that would be preferable
