The owner is probably getting the 3000 from there being 3000 that were sold in the U.S. 369 were sold in Canada.
Total production from what I've read:
3369 total production.
3000 for U.S. sales and 369 for Canada
609 6-speed verts
789 auto verts
1037 6-speed coupes

There's a coupe and a convertible in my area. And a buddy of mine is running the 35th wheels on his non-SS convertible.
