Flowmaster Muffler?
i dont have magnaflow i have stock pipes w/o a cat. Flowmaster is great for muscle cars because it doesnt take much to get something that already sounds good to sound better AND you can go true dual easily. With the 4th gen design you wont get the same exhuast sound out of the same muffler. Not to mention with trueduals you get better flow either way so it still really doesnt matter what muffler you use on a muscle car its still gonna sound different than a modern sports car. My dad has a single flowmaster American Thunder Series muffler on his Nissan Titan 5.6L and its loud but it sounds hollow. Personally im going withLTs, stainless works Y, magnaflow high flow cat and aMAC catbackbecause i can afford it and with 3in inlet2.5 outlet and 3.5 chromed slantedtailpipesi think it will get me the look/sound/performance im looking for.
If the man wants a Flowmaster muffler let him get his Flowmaster muffler. Christ in a cartoon people, you don't have to hate on something just because you don't like it. You'll never get the advertised stock 15 RWHP out of just a cat-back, so why worry about it? Go with whatever you like the look and sound of the best, it's as simple as that.
Hey kamaro68 you said you wanted to get your exhaust welded on, and since you're in San Diego... Theres this place called Ed Hanson's Muffler Service in Spring Valley that does excellent work its where I got my muffler, tailpipes, and tips put on. If you're also considering doing the X-pipe there is a guy in Poway right off of Poway Road that is good at doing that.
Thanks for the tip Banks. I will give Ed Hanson's a call and see how their price is.
My buddy owns Jennings Automotive off Mission Gorge. He does excellent work on street/strip cars. He sponsors Racelegal at Qualcomm also.
I definitely want to add a X-pipe; but to my 68' Camaro. I will probably keep it single all the way back on my 94'
Thanks, you just reminded me...I need to crawl under my car right now and measure the stock inlet diameter (2.5" or 3"?). I need to order my Flowmaster tomorrow to have it in and installed by Thursday. My 1500 mile trip starts Friday!

Hey man enjoy the Flowmasters
. I think you will be VERY pleased off the sound of the Flowmaster muffler on an LT1. I went with Magnaflow because no one in my small one horse town had them except for the Mustang guys so I wanted something different and went with Magnaflow. My friend however who has a 97 TA with the LT1 went with Flowmaster and let me tell ya, after I heard his exhaust I almost switched to Flowmaster. That car was loud when he would get on it with the F-Masters, I hope you like them man

Thanks Nomadic; I just placed the order. I should have it in on Wednesday! I know it won't be as loud as my 40 series I have on my 68' which is good. I don't want to **** off my neighbors. My 94' is my daily driver
Ha ha, I placed my order last night for 2.5"
Good thing I measured correctly. I would have been sad if you would have come back and said 3"
I should have read your post first instead of running outside in the freezing cold and crawling under my car in a T-shirt
