Default Exhaust question

Hi im new to the forums and i resently perchased a wrecked 99z 28 for an engineswap in to my 99 v6 but thatsa little off subject,
im currioushow far back i can cut off the exhaust pipe backbefor it willserriously effect the way the car run ie. sensors and crap like that the
guy thatowned it befor cut it off just befor the muffler, and id like to go more,im currious because i want to run this car in the upcoming drag races so... any help is appriciated thanks
BTW its rear damage and it runs and drives as it sits now

You are not gonna gain any power by cutting it 1ft more!!

the tube is cut more like crimped right after it loops over the rear axle so it restricting the flow i am goin to cut it i was just currious how far i could cut it back befor i ran into sensors i dont care how far i cut it because when i fix the car the exhaust will all be replaced headers back, i would just like to go as far as possible

*plus i was thinking cutting it right after the manafold befor the Y*

Alright then no response to that so I'll try rewording it with unbolting the exhaust from the back of the manafold affect the way the car will run and are there any scensors to worry about.
