Electrical Problem
so yesterday when i parked my car ( 95 camaro 3.4l ) my dash lights was stuck on. odd right? so i tried to turn my dimmer switch down and my dimmer switch doesnt work. so i checked the fuse for the instrument panel lights and pulled the fuse, wasnt blown, BUT even when i pulled the fuse out they STAYED on. so i started to think maybe a shorted wire. Now a buddy of mine told me on the 93-97 camaros the headlight switch and dimmer switch are one assembly, or so i hear. havent pulled the dash yet just seeing if someone else had the same or similar problem. i called a couple parts dealers and the dimmer switch and headlight switch sells as 2 different parts, which makes me think my friend is a idiot, BUT hes a Chevy guy, he has a camaro of his own which is a 92' with a little over 700 horses that he did himself so i kind of want to believe him.
anyone with the same problem?
thanks in advance

EDIT - my oil pressure gauge keeps going up to max pressure which is scaring me but ive heard that the oil pressure gauges are a problem for these cars, is that accusation true?

Honestly, I'd check your radio. If you have an aftermarket cd player or in dash dvd player, go ahead and unhook or unwire the orange (maybe orange striped) wire. That's the dimmer wire. Maybe something in the deck is relaying the power to your dash.
Just a thought.
