^ Yeah, reading it again, he may have meant fuel filter instead of pump. I don't remember him changing the pump, but then, I forgot what I had for dinner last night too. If filter is that dirty again, after only 6 months, then you've got the creeping crud inside your tank.

Sorry pump was supposed to be filter. I replaced the filter 6 months ago and the pump a year ago. The filter had black crud in it. And btw it didn't fix the problem by changing the filter still backfiring in the intake and running like crap unless I'm at WOT

Hey crabby do you have a diagnostics sheet for the 24x crank sensor that sits behind the harmonic balancer???

Perfect!!! Hey also idk of this helps but my car also idles high when I first start it and it sounds like a vacuum line leaking until it idles back down to about 900rpms. But after that if I rev it up, I don't hear the whistle sound. Also after the high idle goes away sometimes it idles really low like 300-500 and tries to die

sounds like a sticky iac valve/motor, it would normally open when motor is cold for high idle. and opens when motor is under stress at idle or low rpms. its supposed to keep the idle above a certain level. like 800+-

Nevermind I figured it out. Iac=idle air control. Ok so where is the idle air control valve on my car?

should be on the passenger side of the tb above the tps.
