door help PLZ!!

Default door help PLZ!!

my girlf friend backover a shop vac with my car and cracked the fiber glass where the hindge bolts on door and now it sags. though about takeing door off and trying to line up the crack and putting fiber glass over it? any suggestions or opions on the door

Do you have any pictures to show where it's cracked? The entire door shell itself is metal, and the hinges are welded to it. The plastic part of the door is the outer skin.
And no, a fiberglass patch isn't going to hold the heavy weight of the door.

wow i thought that part was metal. i would say a new/used door is needed.

Check that area with a strong magnet. What you're seeing could be an outer skin of fiberglass with a metal door shell structure (or reinforcement) underneath.

just did that and magnet wont stick or react on certain places.(end of doors) next time i have the cover off when i have to change the window motors (soon) ill check from the inside just to satisfy my own curiosity.

So then you mean the magnet will stick in some places? I used to have a couple 4th gens, and I coulda sworn the inner door structure was metal, in addition to having outer crash beams. An all fiberglass/plastic door without any metal structure would be stressed beyond cracking at the hinge mount area for everyday use (even without a killer shopvac). Plus, I couldn't see that passing impact requirements at all.

there is metal on outside of door about in the middle of it , i just put window motors in. lmao she back oer it and it jacked the whole side of car up and i wanted to kill her figure a shop vac would just crush ,but no not for me
