you shouldnt need to use your brake if you have the 3500 stall, it engages the drive shaft at 3500 rpms so you can hold 3000 and then when the green light hits you nail it and take off. Pete- that came out wrong, the only 2 or 3 people i know with 98/99 Z28orSS beat the hell out of them and are allways *****ing about replacing stuff, im sure they last long if they're taken care of.

 

The auto will launch harder and give a better 60 foot time which is key in a drag race. The 6 speed cars have a very high 1st gear ratio which makes launching them difficult, plus the 6 speed is way harder on the already weak rear end in these cars. My car would be about 1/2 a second faster if it was an auto with a stall.

I am with Shane3191 on this one. I guess I got lucky, b/c I got my 2001 SS for 16K (with the help of the dealrship I work at)<<hmm guess thats why. Ah well they were asking 17900 for it, and it is procharged, etc. So I thought I got a good deal.
