Doing some maintaining + oil leak
Camaro 2000 3.8
Alright back again and need some help. About to hit 200,000 miles and she's running good! Bought at 184,000 so I haven't even drove 20,000 miles yet. So everything is driven under 20,000 miles. Did a lot of stuff cause she broke down in winter 2016.
I put new rotors and brake pads on some 10,000 miles ago. Maybe a lil more but not above 15,000. I did the rear rotors and pads first and I'd say they have 1,000-3,000 miles more than the fronts. I'm thinking about just changing the pads cause the rotors still look good to me. What do you guys think I should do? Maybe just get them turned. I haven't had any screeching and no bumpyness when braking. I have had some squeaking while driving and pressing them makes it go away.
I have an oil leak and asked a shop to look at it. They said it's the oil pan and I can't unscrew all the bolts to take it off. I think the frame or some part of the engine is blocking it. They said they'd fix it for $1000 (Bought the car for $2200) but that's too much. Someone mentioned to me about jacking up the part blocking the screws and I could get to them. Would this work? Want to do it before my oil change. Also would going from Synthetic Oil to Standard change anything? I've been using Castrol Synthetic trying to keep the engine clean and running good but if it doesn't make much difference, I'll save the extra money and go to standard. I've been changing ever 3000 still but have ran it some 4000.
Other than this, I'm going to clean the radiator And probably run some sea foam. Last time I did the sea foam was last spring-summer. We had a hard winter here in Southeast GA. Snowed for the first time in 30 years.

dont change from syn oil back not a good idea for the old engine i suppose high milage oil would be ok an is cheap, the oil leak unless you can do it yourself, i would not worry about just keep checking the oil with those high miles,so you know i sold a 1999 3800 last year has 97k miles on it for $2200.00 is what i paid for it needed nothing but a ac charge an a small dent fixed , changeing your anti freeze will help too
Also i would not put much more into the car, air filter pcv valve, sounds like you paid to much for the car ,but now you know next time shop

bummer depends on how bad the leak is if you got friends to help you do it then do it. a little seafoam is good for any car during storage i suppose a few ounces in the gas an oil each year is fine, ahh next time just shop an dont by cars from friend of friends general rule ,unless they take very good care ,atleast you know next time you can get a good one with low miles from $2500.00 our state has a 80 point inspection sheet one can down load from the internet
hear one can alot get pre inspection buy too, after you get a few of these you relize,an over time you get better at spoting the better deals lol sometimes ii is hard to know what going on in car, but being taken good care of helps,if you had it for 2 years an all you did was brakes that not that bad ,i had one i an figue you cant own a camaro new for 200.00 per month these days,an take someone with you to with experienced in buying

I'm close to where I can put money towards cosmetics. Can't wait lol she needs a couple of dents fixed and a new paint job. Idk if I'd start on that or the interior. My drivers side window doesn't work and need to fix some parts on the door too. My door slacks like my friends use to. I'ma try to fix it soon cause I've heard it's not too hard.
?? do any of the guys who know better is there an oil stop leak he can use that may work for a bit an not couse problems,
asking for other suggestions hear couse certain addatives can be bad for your car ,try to research what may work ,what you want to find is something that wont make your oil thicker too,do some research on it,i would think some cost alot but are probley no better then some

check you oil using the dip stick not the low oil light, to prone to failure and i believe by the time the ligh comes on its pretty low. i would confirm the leak location. i didnt have issues getting to pan bolts on my 2000 3.8 but i do have shorty headers so that my be why. did mechanic try snugging up the bolts.
