Default Dip stick oil level

Just noticed that my oil dip stick is about almost half a inch above the grated area where your oil level is supposed to be. Is this too much, will it cause the foam oil problem?

Just doing some research on the internet and thought I would add that the engine was not at running temp when I checked this. It had been sitting for a hour and it was pretty cold outside.

I will check again tommorow after the engine is heated up.

^ ...But not right after shutting it off, as oil will still be clinging to internal parts. Let it settle for a couple of minutes.
