New suspension and car not level
I have a 1969 Camaro that leans to the left. It is between 1/2 and 3/4 inch in the rear and between an 1/8 and a 1/4 in the front. It has varied the several different times I have measured it. I have always measured on level ground. I just recently had all new leaf springs, coil springs, shocks, shackles, bolts and bushings replaced. It raised the whole car up about an inch, but it still leans to he left. I and the mechanic at the place I take it to had it up on the rack today to see what was going on... we could not see anything that would cause it. The coils are seated properly, it does not look as if the frame is bent, or that is has ever been in any sort of accident and all of the other bushings look good. The floor pans and frame or very solid. Oh, and when they put all the new stuff on they tightened it on the ground, so as not to cause the bushings to bind. Can anyone help me out? Is this just something I have to deal with? Will fabricating a shackle that is 1/2" longer and mounting it in the rear help to level it out? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Was it level brfore the new springs were installed. Otherwise, it is possible that the new springs are not matched, or one side is for one model and the other side is for another. That is assuming the frame is really straight or not sagging from old age. Also may want to check body/frame mountings, anything is possible in a 40 year old car.

i was thinking body bushings too.
saw it on a 67 chevelle , all one side had too many spacers over the bushings that other wise looked perfect.
my budy at the garage is a wizard when it comes to finding what part is bent for alignments.
he just starts measuring gaps bettween stuff that is the same side to side.
mostly patience and a comfortable place to work is the best thing
