Different Size Valve Stem Seals in Gasket Kit? 94 3.4 Firebird
Good day. This is first my post here. I have a 94 3.4 Firebird 179k miles.
Second go round with redoing head gaskets after an overhaul since last time I reused head bolts, lost a dowel pin, broke an exhaust bolt in the block, overcompressed valve cover gaskets, developed a low load backfire/misfire after 5k miles(duh), and started losing compression(no suprise). Tried saving some bucks, the car was only $900. LOTS of big carbon chunks inside(pm me for pics)
I've tried searching but can't find any answers for why my head gasket kit has these larger O-rings with the valve stem seals. They look like the same O-rings for the fuel injectors but I have 12, so I assume they are for the valves. Here are most of the stem seals included(already installed one exhaust valve and the others are in the other photo) Here is one by the straight pick.
