Default rebuilding my 3.4 cant get the valve cover gaskets out any tips? and more

rebuilding my 3.4 cant get the valve cover gaskets out i belive that they are cork gaskets and they wont come out for **** there is rtv silicone on them as well as i was breaking down the motor i noticed that the head sat about a 1/16 of an inch above the intake manifold on all 4 corners were they meat is this right there not warped and they are all the same 1/16 " above / to perfect to be warped is this right

i think your talking about the gap on each end of the intake. if this is so, u use rvt on the ends. a bead all the way across on each end, from one intake gasket to the other. this is used instead of a gasket now.
