daytime lights/auto headlight

Default daytime lights/auto headlight

i have a 97 v6 my parklights on front stay on during day/ is this a factory dealare a mod someone has done because only one side is working, also where is the auto on headlight censer that turns on the lights when it gets dark, need to trick it for work inside if possable to to try to get the other driving light to work to

I assume your talking about about the yellow driving lights. Ya they are factory. If one is out, just check the bulb.

Light sensor is in middle of dash, where the vent is, with the security light.

Is there an easy way to just disconnect my daytime running lights so I can turn them on and off manually? I was never really a big fan of daytime running lights, i mean I guess their conveinent if your lazy, but i'd like to be able to turn off my lightsif imsitting parked at night .

Shut off the engine. Pull the parking brea, then turn on again. As long as the parking break is engaged the lights should stay off.

I thought there were ways to reprogram this, but just looked through the manual and didn't find anything.

i checked the bulb and the socket is melted, but the light work when the head lights or on, just the day time side is not working, if it works when the lights are turned on it should work when the day lights are on, right. and thanks for theinfo on the headlight sincer. anyideas where i can get some new sockets are anyone parting out a car. thanks all

It's a dual filament bulb. You noticed three wires going to the socket right? One is ground, another is power for DRL, the other is power to it for when headlights are on. Either the wire is bad, or one filament is burned out. Change the bulb.

will give it a try, but i think it has 4 wires have to look at it again may be wrong been up for 24 hours lol mind sleeping,
