Default coolant leak

Just put a new engine in my car so I'm possibly missing stuff but is there an oring on the water pump near the heater core? it starts to leak in that area when I start the car.

LOL, can we get a clue what you are working one? Or do you want answers for every year and engine options?

There is a common issue with the orings on the heater hoses and the plastic ends cracking. That is a disconnintured hose, there are several fixs including metal ends availble from the aftermarket that let you make your own ends.
