A/C water in passenger-side floorboard
Hi Guys,
I have a chevy Camaro 99 V6, I'm based in France and no reseller can help me here.
I have an issue with the AC, when it's on after a while, it's leaking in passenger side floor. I've check arround the car and no water under the car. I supposed it's the drain but I'm unable to find it. Where is it located.
For info it's Water not Coolant liquid, so I don't think it's the heatcore.
Thanks

the heater core is the only thing that i can think of that would make it to the floorboard. mine did that too but when the car got hot, it dripped down on the header and it smoked. mine also had the leak on the floorboard. at first i thought my heater core was good but it had just the slightest crack in it and i put a new one in and hasnt done it sense.
tripwire: he is talking about condensation buildup when the a/c is on. it normally drains to the ground not the floorboard. only suggestion i have is to check the evaporator housing for the drain.
There should be a drain hose from under the evaporator core housing, going behind the right side kick panel and exiting under the car. The hose gett full of gunk and then the condensate overflows on the floor. Clean out the hose.
Find the drain hose under the car and take a straightened wire coat hanger and start poking it up the hose. Dirt, dust, fuzz, leaf parts, dead mice, and birdpoop in the ductwork makes for a nice paste when the A/C condensation gets it wet. Then the drain plugs shut and the condensation overflows inside the car. If you can't get it open from underneath, you'll have to go digging under the dash (much more fun)!!
