Default Coolant

Ok so here is the issue....every 700 miles or so I am having to refill the coolant in the radiator. I do not check it that often but I know when it is low because my car takes an eternity to warm up. I have had on the lift many times and have not noticed any external leaks. I have even pulled my car away and stopped to take a look to see if any puddles are present but have still found nothing. Anybody know of what this might be? I would greatly appreciate the help.

Apparently your car has a very small leak which makes it hard to find. It could be something minor, like a bad gas cap or a bad hose clamp. It could also be a leaking water pump seal, radiator, or hater core. Small leaks usually take place when the engine is running and warmed up due tothe increased coolant pressure, so that may be a good time to take a look.

Do a coolant pressure test. Most of the time a cold engine under pressure will leak 10 time worse then a hot engine under pressure. You take it to a shop that is what the mechanic will do. You can borrow the tester from some autoparts stores and search Youtube on how to pressure test a coolant system.

+1 If there's an internal leak that's something that should be taken care of soon.

Ok cool thanks for the info. Is it possible that the water pump had gone bad? I am not sure if that would cause a leak or not.
