Default Console Question

I just bought a '95 Camaro Convertible and have a couple of question.
The console door is broken, (looks like a really poor and weak design). Can just the inner plastic piece that contains the pivot points be purchased? I found a complete console door for $115, but mine is in great shape and I hate to have to buy a whole new one.
Secondly, is there a light for the floor mount tranny shifter indicator?
This is my first CamaroLots of fun so far. I spent ALL day yesterday doing valve cover gaskets, water pump, tune-up, heater hoses, radiator hoses, fuel filter, belt, oil change and tranny flush.
Now I know why the previous owner neglected everything on this car...What a difficult engine to work on[:@]I had the car on ramps and my back is still killing me from bending over all day.
But now that it's finished, and it's Autumn in Texas, all I have to do is drive!
Thanks for any help,
James

check that for your replacement parts, they typically have pretty good prices. Welcome to the Forum and post up some pics of your ride!

as for the light in the trans shifter.. yes, there should be one. I'm not sure how it's set up on yours but just remove the trim plate (be careful ) and you should see it. I've changed it in mine but my center console isn't the same as yours so I'm not completely sure..
