Default color oddity, can anyone explain?

Alright, im trying to figure this one out, and i have no solid ideas at the moment. my girlfriend's camaro is black, and is known to have been repainted at least once. the engine bay, door sills, nooks and crannies, and i believe the rear shock towers were either black or primer on the inside, as well as the door frames. however, the under side is a mix of dark green and primer, and appears to be the typical factory overspray, and there are a few other parts that have green on them. i didnt scratch any of the paint to find out for sure (she would kill me). im wondering if the car started out as green and someone did an epicly awesome job of repainting it, or if there might be a bettery explination for it. i removed the rear most crossmember, just behind the cat, and the matching green over spray was underneth it. i thought maybe it was black, green, then black again, but under parts suggests it was factory.

Pull up the door threshold piece and peek under the carpeting. You can usually find the factory original color there.
