Changing a 4th gen auto transmission

nice write up craby. i just did this last month i think it was last month
not bein used to chevys so much i was worried about the gap of the flywheel/flex plate and conveter, fords dont have that much play. so i got worried i had the wrong converter for a second then did a google search a figured it out.

alls i gotta say is watch out lifting a transmission by the pan

only time ive ever had issues with that is when i tried lifting the back of the motor using the trans pan. that was many yrs ago, learned to put a piece of plywood between the pan and jack for doing that.

yes, i agree.. helps spread out da load
sometimes ill even use wood on the jack just to 'soften the blow'
