Default Car Wont Start

3.8 v6 convertable

it cranks fine but wont start, we are getting 12v at fuel pump connector for a few sec when key is swicched on, we replaced the pump and the new pump runs fine when hooked up to independent power source but dosnt run when plugged into car harness, we also replaced the fuel pump fuse and relay, anyone have ideas?

The PCM will automatically shut down the pump if the engine does not start within 5 seconds. What you are seeing with the fuel pump is normal for an engine that fails to start. Make sure you a good spark at the plugs, good fuel pressure at the fuel rail, check the injector fuses, verify that the injectors are being fired.
