The factory alarm has never worked since I purchased the car. The problem IS the starter we concluded.

I think it is time to replace the factory unit with a Viper

They came with a security system, but not an actual alarm, or at least not in 1994, and my 95 doesn't have an alarm, just the VATS and an aftermarket security system (not an alarm, I hate alarms).

 

I don't know what I have but it is coming out this weekend.

I am going with an "alarm". I am going to make sure that it is a 2-way remote.

When an alarm goes off the only person who cares is the owner of the car. Most others would probably help the person steal the car just to shut it up!

 

I had a problem like that, car wouldnt start but everything else had power. Ended up being the clutch safty switch was bad.

 

i had this problem in my 1995 camarolike 2 days ago literally had the starter changed out and started fine........now i have a whole new set of problems....gauge lights come on and off like crazy.........oh well........
