Default p0341 cam position sensor problem

I had the exact same problem. I would get the P0341 code, poor fuel economy, and i would get a misfire every now and then when i was accelerating. The problem was as simple as having spark plug wires running bare over the ICM wire harness. I ended up having the run the spark plug wires in a different configuration than they were originally because the aftermarket plug weren't as long as the originals. I also added some spark plug wire looms/ separators to keep the wires off the intake manifold and completely separated. you can see in the photo that half the spark plug wires are running left & half are running right which allows the wire harness to run beside the engine instead of behind it & too close to the ICM wires. Its not perfect & and its not pretty but it works.
