Is the Camaro a reliable car?
Dude, I'm 18, I have a 99 Z28 6spd and a 96 Civic Coupe with a motor swap. Full coverage on both cars is only 200 per month for me. And out of the Camaro alone I have plenty of power, fun, dependability, Recognition, Gas Mileage(28-30MPG!), and it's just plain awesome! You can't go wrong with one!
For the LT1 brethren we have posted an optispark preservation thread. Follow the advice.

Well I have been with the same insurance company since I was 14 so I have alot of discounts. No accidents, no tickets, aced my drivers test, and multiple vehicles. And yeah, it's really nice! My friend has an SS but he has several tickets and stuff, he's 21 but his insurance is more than twice my total for his one car.
If you are quoted $300/mo for insurance then it is time to move to a new company or evaluate your traffic ticket #. I pay $65 per month for my 99 with a 3.8L that is everything except collision, $92 per month with collision.
Winter driving in a camaro is not ideal but it is not much different than other RWD cars on the road today. Some weight is needed and a light foot on the petal but that goes to just about any vehicle on the road in the snow. Remember to anticipate the road and give yourself plenty of time to stop and start.
