Broken grounding strap
Hello electrical gurus:
I have an '01 Camaro with a plethora of electrical problems. For example, in rainy weather I can turn off the stereo with the power window switch. The ABS and ASR dashboard lights are always on (and neither system functions), and the engine sometimes stalls when making a right turn (never left), or when coming to a stop (I'm not entirely convinced this last problem is electrical in nature, but a mechanic friend tells me it's a possibility).
I'd planned to try and narrow down the causes by checking connectors and cleaning any corrosion from whatever grounding locations I could find, and I came across a severed ground strap. The "Location of Everything" pdf in the sticky post indicates that it's the engine grounding strap at G109 on the LH frame rail in the engine compartment. The strap was very brittle and cracked when I tried to move it. It will obviously need to be replaced. While I suspect this probably isn't the cause of my electrical problems, this grounding strap must be there for a reason.
My questions are:
1.) What problems could be caused by this ground being broken?
2.) Where is the other end of the grounding strap?
3.) Is it easily replaceable? If so, does anyone know the part number?
Pic attached. The view is looking down into the engine compartment. The grounding location is indicated by the arrow. The strap seems to broken where it exited the conduit that is just visible in the top center of the photo. Forward is towards the lower left corner of the pic.
Thanks for the help!

I think you're referring to G109, which is what the arrow is pointing to. I need to know where the other end of that braid is. My guess is maybe somewhere on the engine block. Anyone know for sure? More importantly, can I get a replacement for it?
download the 2000 manual here https://www.mediafire.com/?40mfgeoe4ctti it will be pretty much the same as yours. also here is some info on bcm
