Cool broken clutch slave cylinder

Well got in my car this morning and pushed the clutch down to start it and ...Snap... the bracket the held the slave cylinder , just out of the blue broke...wow ...Well lucky I work in a machine shop.I fabricated a piece of heat treated steel, drilled a couple holes beneath the slave cylinder and bolted the thing on.Works great and i bet its a lot stronger...any how, Has this ever happened to any one? With all the pressure that is being forced on, You would think they would of beefed that part of the bell housing. Time to get a bellhousing for a 94 t5,Ill keep it handy if i need it..Let me know your thoughts..

What exactly do you mean by "the bracket?" As in the spacer between the slave and the trans? Or the part with the protruding screws?
