best way to stiffen suspension
My first post
I have a 95 ,6cly.
Suspension is marshmellow soft.
Whats the best route for a much stiffer feel.
Is there a difference between struts for an 8cyl and a 6cyl??
Are the struts for an 8cyl stiffer than a 6 cyl?
Thanx for any info

Does it float along? I bet you'll get a much better ride feel with just a fresh set of struts/shocks.
How old are the current dampers (if you know)? If they're really old, it would probably be worth just changing them for a starting point, otherwise you can buy stiffer springs to really firm up the ride along with new dampers (most stiffer springs also lower the car, which then require different struts to handle the lower ride height).
I've seen www.lmperformance.com recommended around here for performance oriented parts. I just installed a new panhard bar and lower rear trailing arms on mine, and that helped out with some rear end wagliness. Mine also floats and rolls like a Buick, so I'm pretty sure I'm due for struts (Next purchase when I have money, 98 V6 for me).

Yup---spent struts and shox---just had a lookie.[:-]
I was curious and was told by a friend that the v8 strus and shox are stiffer to deal with the added wieght of a v8.

Not sure about that and not sure if mounting is the same.
I got it up to 70 on a side street and it was a near death ride---all floaty and outta shape.
I have a nissan 240sx thats a rail rider and want this camaro to be as good if not better.
