royal purp is the best of the best oil. But its highly expensive as well.

Ummmmm...huh? Mind to elaborate more on the mechanics of that?

Or from someone who is running fluids such as B&M Trick Shift, which is just slightly modified type F anyway. I've heard pros and cons to using either.
By the way, in B&M's shift kit instructions (for the TH350), they recommend refilling the pan with type F if you don't happen to have their trick stuff handy. That's a coincidence!

Maybe you should try actually READING your Camaro Owners Manual, then you would know.

You also better read your Owners Manual -- 10W is for the warm weather, 5W is for when it's colder, thinner to start more easily. 5W can be year-round, 10W is optional during warmer weather.

Though I could have that *** backwards.. eitherway I run 10w all year round. saves on my own personal confusion. As I was told by both my brothers - mobil1, valvoline and castrol are good oils. Royal purple is the best but its not normally used for daily drivers.. mostly for race motors. I run straight synthetic through all my vehicles and i find it is better then reg oil.

I might check that site out If I get time to read that much but for now I will stick with the 10w 30 oil then get a oil change In the spring when I start driving It again then.

eh, i knew that already. I *DID* state that I might of had it *** backwards. I get them confused most of the time. Im not worried about my oil. I know what im doing when it comes to that stuff. I may not know how to tear down and rebuild a ls/lt motor but I know what im doing with the v6's. plenty of practice on them. Also with the older 327-350's. Grew up on them.

and i run the 10w in my truck year round. In my wifes Im gonna stick with 5w30. THough I might try that eco-synthetic blend stuff here shortly.
