i was saying i wouldnt drive on it until the shaft is replaced if the shaft has some cracks in it and it snaps then it will fall out and you could really mess up your car or it could cause some serious damage to the diff then instead of a nice easy cheep shaft you need to replace the whole rear axle which in my experience isnt a quick job it took me about 4 hrs to pull and reinstall my axle and i know what im doing where as replacing the shaft should only take about 30 min
i did love my car until i smashed it into a telephone pole

Being that the the axle and rim bent, you need to take a good look at the other supension parts, as they also may have been tweaked.

And a badly wobbling axle/rotor makes the piston in the brake caliper pulsate in and out, which can cause it to take in some air.
Be sure to bleed your brakes, at least at that wheel, when you're done.

ok so i went to the junk yard and pulled out a axle in under an hour. But when i want home and started working on mine i could not get the pin out. as it turns out the pin has been worn out in some places a .2 inchs and in other in was sticking out (like bumps). I knew i wasnot getting the thing out with out damage. so i want to the junk yard again and got 4 spider gears and a pin for $10. I have hammering on the pin for about 5 hours and it had cleared the bottom spider gear. but the method i used was a dowel pushing it in, but i got to a point if i did that any more i would not be able to turn the diff to get it out. I tried a slide hammer and it didnt work. How do you think i can get it out?

Yes the pin the spider gears are on. I removed the bolt. But I have to remove it to get the axle out. The pin is mushroomed out and maybe bent. It is stuck in the spider but not the casing.
