I have a 96 z28 camaro auto tranny. today i was going to work it went through first and second gear alright then when it went to third it would just rev up when hitting the gas. when i let of the gas pedal it would idle like iit was in third like at 2400 rpms. so i dont have third or fourth gear.

 

SYNCHROS ? maybe,,, not a big tranny guy, pm gorn, or z28pete

 

have it scanned and see if any transmission codes come up. sounds like a clutch has gone.

i didnt say its an easy thing to do just that its kinda dumb to have an auto in a sports car imo

and with a donor car id say it would be pretty easy and free sht youd make money off this swap parting out the donor after its all done
