got new problem. manual says use puller to get pulley off power steering pump. i put so much pressure on that puller and it wasn't even thinking about coming off. then i noticed puller was bending outer edges of pulley. any ideas on how i can get that off. puller doesn't seem to be working. thanks...

 

Sounds like you're using a gear puller, which will bend or ruin the pulley. You need a p.s. puller that grabs the hub...

hey guys, i'm trying to put my harmonic balancer back on. the manual talks about a installer tool which i don't have and don't want to buy. i see no reason why i can't use a block of wood and tap it back on. your thoughts? thanks....

 

Autozone has the installer in their loan a tool program as well. You don't want to hammer the harmonic dampener on, that can damage the thrust bearing on the crank.

95 camaro 3.4/ hey guys, been awhile since ive been here. my check engine light comes on after idiling for bout 3 minutes. doesnt come on when driving. not getting hot. tempature gauge reading good. dont know why it comes on only when idling. any ideas. thanks.

 

see if you can scan to get the codes. parts store may be able to do it for you.
