you want to remove the antenna and fill the hole??? ive seen antenna stickers that go on your window then you just plug that into the antenna wire but for the hole youll need sheet metal a welder and some paint

I doubt they work as good at the original one. My brother put a shark-fin on his mazda and it works like ****

well my dads buick had one but it was factory and in the glass im sure the only problem you may run into is it not sticking as good

you could just keep your stock antenna and put a bend in it so that you can put it behind the carpet in the hatch i did that with a celica b4 worked just as good

the reason that the antenna is no longer in the glass like back in the 70's and 80's is poor reception. Most of the "stickers" and what have you are just gimics. RF energy is some strange stuff and if you dont follow its rules it will not work for you. Your antenna mast is built to recieve most public freqs and it is more than just a metal rod sticking out the side of your car. If you dont like the look of the thin wire antenna try going to a power unit that you can hide when not driving. Satilite radio antennas can sometimes be mounted on the dash so long as they can get a good view of the sky, that may be an option for you.

screw all that. what you do is grab a antenna extension from best buy or any audio shop and cut it open. Then just get some wire (speaker wire works) and twist it and attach to the antenna. It works great. I use it on my car and most stereo shops use it on their display models.
